Chateau Lafite arriving at the Port of New York, 3 Jun 1887

This Page last updated on .

Prior to the Ellis Island era (1892-1924), New York arrivals were at either Castle Garden or what was called the Barge Office. Since the Ellis Island web site does not index this time period, I found this information on the Castle Garden web site and at http://www.ancestry.com .  I tried to find each of these people in the SPA birth records. I'm still looking.

From the Ship's Manifest From the SPA Birth Records
Name Age Occupation Est Birth Year Name Date of Birth Father Mother Notes
Fiore Frazzini 23y Farmer 1864
Fiore Antonio Frazzini
15 May 1860 Ferdinando Giustina Colarosa There is a Fiore Frazzini in the 1900 and 1910 census from Chicago, IL. I'm pretty sure its the same person. Born Feb 1862 per the census. Wife Maria Giuseppa and brother, Nunzio. Neighbor Pasquale Frazzini. Fiore died 17 May 1918 in Chicago, IL. Nunzio also died in Chicago.
RIN 3782.
Pasquale Frazzini 24y Farmer 1863 Pasquale Basilio Frazzino 14 Jun 1852 Ferdinando Giustina Colarosa There is a Pasquale Frazzini in the 1900 census from Chicago, IL. Born Apr 1860. There is a Pasquale born Aug 1864, one born in Jul 1864 and one born Jun 1865 in the SPA transcribed birth records. There is also a Pasquale born Jun 1852 that is the brother of Fiore. He also lived and died in Chicago. RIN 3779. This must be him. Maybe the age in the manifest should have been 34y.
