Hi Mark,
I found your web page on RootsWeb.com and have been thrilled with the new information I have found. My cousin has been doing genealogy work for 20-25 years and she had not been able to find Giovanni diGiacomo's wife or parents. It was wonderful to find that he and Chiara Ricci had a son named Pietro Antonio diGiacomo. (He is my great-grandfather).
The LDS Church records are a wonderful source of information and I live in Utah. They are difficult to read. I was wondering if you have found a marriage record on Chiara and Giovanni. I also went through a lot of records trying to see if they had any other children. I did find that they had a son in 1863 that was named Pietro and then the record you talk about in 1865 they had
another son named Pietro. I'm assuming the first son died, and then they had the next son in 1865.
Thank you so much for all of the information and pictures from San Pietro Avellana. I hope in the next few years to make a trip to Italy with my husband. It looks like a beautiful place. I have alot of relatives on the Frazzini (Frazzino) line since Pietro was married to Asterina. My grandfather, Ezachio "Jack" diGiacomo was in an orphanage in Salt Lake City. They did stay there and then he remarried Filomena diCapita.
Thanks again and I will continue to stay in touch. Please email me back if you have anything else that would help me.
