The Ciotoli's and Mariani's were from San Pietro Avellana, and the Maddammas were from nearby Villetta Barrea, Italy. Both families are multigenerational residents of Bloomfield. Fabiano Maddamma came to America in 1905."
Photo appears in the book Bloomfield - Images of America: "Emiddio and Beatrice Ciotoli Mariani's family is shown in this 1950's photograph. They were both immigrants from San Pietro Avellana, four miles east of Castel di Sangro. Emiddio was a gifted tailor."
