Patrick H. Frazzini, 84, of Fuller Place, Lewiston, NY, died Friday, February 25, 2005 at his home, under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice.

Mr. Frazzini was born in San Pietro, Italy, April 4, 1920, the son of Rocco and Clara Frazzini. His family came to the United States in 1925 and moved to Youngstown, Ohio, where he grew up and attended local schools.

Mr. Frazzini was an amateur boxer and won the Ohio State Tittle in 1934 at 112 lbs, the runner up in 1937 at 126 lbs class and ended his amateur career with a record of 85-15. He received offers for boxing scholarships from several universities, but turned Pro in 1939. He boxed under the name of Patsy Frazier, before his professional career was cut short by being drafted , his professional record was 15-2.

He served with the US Army during World War II in the European Theater, as a Military Policeman and had fought in exhibition fights while in the service. After the war he returned to Ohio, where he graduated from Youngstown College in 1952 with a BS in Advertising and in 1958 with a degree in Education. Mr. Frazzini was a Junior High School teacher in both Youngstown and in New Waterford,OH, before moving to Niagara Falls in 1966, where he taught 4th and 5th grades at 60th and 66th Street schools, before retiring in 1984.

He moved to Lewiston in 1970. In 1991 he was inducted into the Curbstone Coaches Hall of Fame by the City Youngstown, Ohio. Mr. Frazzini was a member of the Teachers Union and enjoyed bowling and playing golf.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Anne F. [ Fic] Frazzini of Lewiston, four sons Paul P. Frazzini and James E. Frazzini both of Boca Raton, FL, Patrick H. Frazzini, Jr. of Greenville, NC and Edward P. (Joanne) Frazzini of Corning, NY, two grandchildren Angela and Paul Frazzini, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Frazzini was the brother of the late James and Joseph Frazzini, Rose Casciano and Mary Bondi.

Private funeral services were held, with interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery , St. Catharines, Ontario.

PATRICK H. FRAZZINI, TEACHER, PRO BOXER APRIL 4, 1920 -- FEB. 25, 2005
Patrick H. Frazzini of Lewiston, a professional boxer and junior high school teacher, died Friday in his home under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice. He was 84.

He was born in San Pietro, Italy, and emigrated with his family to the United States in 1925. They moved to Youngstown, Ohio, where he attended local schools.

Mr. Frazzini was an amateur boxer and won the Ohio state title in 1934. He was the runner-up in 1937 and ended his amateur career with a record of 85 wins and 15 losses. He received offers for boxing scholarships from several universities but turned professional in 1939, boxing under the name of Patsy Frazier. His 15-2 professional career was cut short when he was drafted into the Army during World War II, serving in Europe as a military policeman. He fought in exhibition fights while in the service.

After the war, he graduated from Youngstown College with a bachelor's degree in advertising and with a master's degree in education.

Mr. Frazzini was a junior high school teacher in both Youngstown, Ohio, and in New Waterford, Ohio.

He moved to Niagara Falls in 1966 and taught fourth and fifth grades at the 60th and 66th Street elementary schools. He moved to Lewiston in 1970 and retired from teaching in 1984. He was a member of the Teachers Union.

In 1991, he was inducted into the Curbstone Coaches Hall of Fame by the city of Youngstown, Ohio.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, the former Anne F. Fic of Lewiston; four sons, Paul P. and James E., both of Boca Raton, Fla., Patrick H. Jr. of Greenville, N.C., and Edward P. of Corning; and two grandchildren.

Private services were held Tuesday. Burial was in Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines, Ont.
