Colaianni, Vincenzo Antonio "James A." {I6955} (b. 5 Feb 1897, d. ABT Nov 1948)
Note: 1909 22 Jan, Boston arrival, 11y
1910 census, Pueblo, CO, 13y, immigrated 1898
WWI Draft Registration, 21y, self-employed, wife Julia. DOB, birthplace.
1920 census - not found
1930 census, Pueblo, CO, 33y, first married at 21y, born Italy

Mark,
I wanted to let you know that I found the James Colian in the 1900 Pueblo census. His father was Sam and his mother was Julia. I'm still looking for an immigration record of some sort. Sam was born in Italy about 1870 (I find a Sabatino Umberto Colaianni born in 1870). No idea about Julia but she was born in Italy about 1876. Jim was born about 1897. So I am looking for a marriage in 1896. The census would indicate that Sam came to the US in 1895 (which would mean he went home to get married the following yr) and Julia and Jim in 1898. Those dates on the census are not always useful, but I bet that this family passed through Beaver County, PA or Columbiana Co, Ohio on their way out to Pueblo. Too much of a coincidence for that name to have morphed to Colian on its own.
Thanks,
Cris
