1893 US arrival per his 1905 arrival but I cannot find a manifest.

1897 20 Dec Naturalization (index card only) at the USCC in Boston, MA. DOB 18 Aug 1875. 7 West St, Newton, MA.

1900 11 Feb marriage, Watertown MA, 24y, f: Matteo, m: Rosa M. Mastrantonio. First marriage.

1905 28 Jan EI arrival, 29y, married, Going to cousin, Salvatore diPietrantonio, Watertown, MA. Previously in the US 1893-1903 in Watertown. Traveled with Giacomino Palmieri, Palmantonio Fattore, Angelo Sante Timperio, Nicola DiVecchio, Bartolomeo Mancini, and Giuseppe diNardo. I am guessing that he is returning to the US after marrying Maria Angela Timperio.

1908 Watertown MA births of daughter Mary Rosa. 17 Jul 1908, f: Vincenzo (Rubber worker) m: Maria Timperio. Both parents born Italy.

1913 EI arrival of nephew, Pasquale diNardo. Vincenzo was in Watertown, MA. I think the "uncle' reference in the EI arrival really meant "cousin of his parent" as is typical in Italy. Vincenzo would have been Pasquale diNardo's mother's (Vittoria DiVecchio's) first cousin.

1914 1 Nov marriage, Watertown, MA, 38y, third marriage - widowed. Father - Matteo, Mother - Rosa Mastrantonio.

email from granddaughter, Elaine DiVecchio Boyer, Sep 2012: "My grandparents Vincenzo & Mariangella came from this village. My grandfather was born in 1875, came to Watertown MA in 1892, became a citizen in 1897. He returned to Italy and married my grandmother in 1897. My aunt Mary was born there, but my uncle and dad were born here. My grandmother passed away in childbirth in 1914, so I never knew her.

The only thing I know about my great grandfather was that he had one arm and taught the village children to read. My grandmother was one of 17 children and I remember her "baby brother" when as a child we went to Masontown to visit my aunt, uncle and many cousins. I went to Pittsburgh several times before marrying. I have however maintained a close relationship with my 2nd cousin, Sister Maria Goretti Timperio and Mary DiGovino who lives in Pittsburgh. There are also cousins, Sam and Charles DiVecchio, living in suburbs of Pittsburgh.

I know that back in the early 70's my Mom & Dad visited Sant'Eufemia and an aunt was still alive and in her 80's or 90's. That about all I can remember at this time."

She became I'll when she came to this country an wanted to return to Italy My grandfather took her back and after 9 months of marriage she passed away. He then married my grandmother and that union produced three children Mary born in Italy, Matty born two years later and my dad Anthony born two years after Matty. She then had two sets of twins dying the day after the 2nd set. He then was introduced to the only grandmother I knew Maria, I don't recall her last name. She was here in the states,so I don'tknow if she came from the same village. Together they had five children

My grandfather & grandmother remained close to his first wife's family, the Iodice family, taking in her brother, Celment when he came out of the seminary. The Iodice family had a very large carnation growing business in Watertown."

I my name is Angelina Giobbi ( PALMIERI) my grandparents came from Sant'Eufumia in Italy, my grandfather was Amato PALMIERI, had 5 children, 2 sons died, my father is Antonia PALMIERI born Italy 15/5/1922. the family moved to Austalia. working on dates. must be a connection somewhere. My grandfather had 2 brothers. Camillo moved to USA. Rocco moved to Australia, 2 sisters names unknown.
