HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP - Elvira (DiPietrontonio) D'Jovin, 89, of Hopewell Township, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2004, in the Mariner Health Care Center, Moon Township.
Born April 2, 1915, in Aquila, Santa Eufemia, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Felice and Lucia (Dadario) DiPietrontonio. Elvira was a member of St. Titus Catholic Church, Aliquippa, and she was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Angelo D'Jovin; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Tony DiPetro and Nickola "Nicholas" and Susan DiPietrontonio and a sister, Mary Cianferra.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Fred Lalama, with whom she resided; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Bonnie D'Jovin, New York; three grandchildren and their spouses, Richard and Terry Lalama, Georgia; Linda and John Chaconas, Maryland, and James and Jeanie Lalama, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Leah DiPietro, Monaca, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the WAYNE N. TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME, 2205 McMinn St, Aliquippa, where a service will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Titus Catholic Church, Aliquippa.
Entombment will follow in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum, Hopewell Township.
