What I can tell you is that Rosa came from Torricella Peligna, Italy. There were a few Mariani's born in Torricella Peligna. That may be where Emilio was born. Have you ever been to the Torricellapeligna.com website? They have a lot of genealogy regarding people that were born there. Rosa Nicolo was born there.

I believe Rosa's brother Louis (Luigi) Nicolo lived in the same place as Emilio. Rosa came to the US with her father to visit her brother Luigi and I think that's when they met. Rosa stayed in the US with her brother and then married Emilio. Her father went back to Italy."
