Patsy DiVecchio, 91, of Aliquippa passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2009 in his home.
He was born Pasquale diVecchia on September 6, 1917 in Sant'Eufemia a Maiella, Italy, the son of the late Camillo DiVecchio and Lucia DiGiovine.
Patsy immigrated to the US in 1930, moving to West Aliquippa where he worked as a pipefitter for Jones and Laughlin Steel until his retirement in 1989. His work at J&L was interrupted by duty during the Second World War where he served in Europe with the 10th Armored Division.
He was a devoted parishioner of St. Titus Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Name Society and the Sons of Columbus. He was an avid bowler and gardener and for a short time was a student at the Pittsburgh Art Institute. He continued to work after his retirement at the Howard Johnson Motor Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Betty Frazzini, by two brothers, Michelangelo diVecchia and Anthony DiVecchio, two sisters, Eufemia Pantalone and Annina Politano and brother-in-law Paul Frazzini.
Surviving Patsy are son and daughter-in-law: Mark and Sally DiVecchio of San Diego, CA, two daughters: Patricia DiVecchio of Arlington, VA, and Diane DiVecchio of Aliquippa, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday from 2-4pm and from 6-8pm in the ANTHONY MASTROFRANCESCO FUNERAL HOME, Inc, 2026 McMinn St, Aliquippa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30am Tuesday at St. Titus Catholic Church.
Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Township.

Betty DiVecchio, 95, of Aliquippa passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 18, 2007 in her home.
Born Benilda Albina Victoria Frazzini on September 24, 1912 in San Pietro Avellana, Italy, the daughter of the late Emiliano Frazzini and Lucrezia Carlini, and granddaughter of her fondly remembered grandmother, Doristella diTella.
Betty immigrated to the US in 1926, first living in New Galilee until settling in Beaver Falls where she worked for Mayer China until her marriage in 1947.
She was a devoted parishioner of St.Titus Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, CDA Court Woodlawn 565 and the Queens of Columbus, all of Aliquippa. She loved playing cards and bingo and for over 7 years was a volunteer at Golfview Manor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Joseph Frazzini, a brother-in-law, Anthony DiVecchio, two sisters-in-law, Eufemia Pantalone and Annina Politano, and her favorite uncle, Luigi Iasella who gave away her hand at her wedding.
Surviving Betty is her loving husband of 59 years, Patsy (Pasquale) DiVecchio, and her family: one son and daughter-in-law: Mark and Sally DiVecchio, of San Diego, CA, two daughters: Patricia DiVecchio, of Arlington, VA, and Diane DiVecchio of Aliquippa, and a sister-in-law Maxine Frazzini of Beaver Falls, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Railroad. Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Lucia DiVecchio; two sons, Patsy and Tony, Aliquippa; and two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Politano, Aliquippa and Mrs. Eufemia Pantalone, Sant'Eufemia, Italy. Friends will be received in the family home, 109 1/2, Main street, West Aliquippa, after 12 noon, Thursday, July 20. The James A. Darroch Sons Funeral Home, Aliquippa, is in charge of funeral arrangements, which are incomplete.

Anthony DiVecchio, 73, of the Beaver Valley Geriatric Center, Brighton Township, died Sunday, April 25, 1993, in the geriatric center.
Born April 8, 1920 in Italy, a son of the late Camillo and Lucy DiVecchio, he was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, West Aliquippa, and before his retirement was employed in the tin mill department of LTV Steel Corp., Aliquippa. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a recipient of the Purple Heart.
Surviving are a brother, Patsy DiVecchio, Aliquippa; two sisters, Anna Politano, Center Township, and Eufemia Pantalone, Boston, Mass.; a niece Rita Domitrovich, Center Township, and several other nephews and nieces.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in Wayne N. Tatalovich Funeral Home, 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, where a service will be conducted Wednesday at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9 a.m. in the St. Titus Roman Catholic Church, Aliquippa.
Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Hopewell Township.
A rosary will be recited today at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Full military rites will be conducted by the Beaver Valley Special Unit.
