Anna Franzenbach (I1206) [Female]
1949 letter from an in-law of a possible relative to Carola Martin Kennedy. References Mr. Ann Lietz. The writer, Mrs. John Kader, writes "Mrs. Anna Lietz is the mother-in-law of my niece Gertrude Prugel in Germany. She asked me please to try to get in contact with you or one of your relatives as her mother-in-law wishes to know anything about her three sisters here in America living." The letter gives a mailing address in Koln. I don't know if Carola answered the letter.

Jacob Goldman (I1212) [Male] b. 1786 Lincoln, NC - d. Mar 1849 Lincoln, NC
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/225988833/jacob-goldman

Jacob´s son in law was tried and aquitted for the burning death of ¨old man Goldman"in April of 1849.
Jacob had two daughters Anna and Hannah. Perhaps a third. The witness to the 1833 marriage of his eldest daughter Hannah to Moses Smith was a neighbor ,George Seitz. Moses Smith is a brother of Jerimiah Smith 26125638 who married Sally Goins (sister of Wiley Goins.)
Anna married Wiley Goins in 1839 and the witness was a 3rd Smith brother, Daniel Smith.

Mark's note: "old man Goldman" is Jacob Goldman. The son-in-law is Wiley Goins who married Jacob's daughter Anna.

1849 Apr 21 - article in the Lincoln Courier, Lincolnton, NC. "Wiley Goins, tried for the murder of Goldman, was acquitted by the Jury after an absence of about hours". This article was found on the Jacob Goldman findagrave page and on Newspapers.com (by Jeremy Baker).

John Andrew (I1215) [Male]
Some family trees on ancestry show John Andrew as the father of Tamsy Andrew. As usual, these trees don't have any source information.

Other trees show Tamsy's parents as George and Elizabeth Andrew. Probably based on an 1850 census that shows George and Elizabeth Andrew with daughter Tamsey. This cannot be the Tamsy that married Richard Hall Leverton because our Tamsy was married in 1841 so would not be living with her parents in 1850.

The name 'Clarno' was derived from the name of the first permanent white settler in this county of 'Green', one Andrew Clarno, who came though this area in 1827 and returned again with his family in 1832 to establish residence here. The postoffice, the small village and the township in which the villiage is located all bear the name 'Clarno'. No living descendants of the original settlers now are in the immediate area."
